Serving Our Communities Since 2009. ED 360, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Education for All. ED 360 works to expand access to education, resources, and opportunities that support individuals, families, and communities.
ED 360, Inc. was founded in 2009, but its beginnings reach back to the experiences of a young educator working in inner-city Louisiana schools.
Beginning her teaching career at 21, she saw children arrive in classrooms carrying challenges far beyond their years. Poverty, housing instability, and unmet basic needs affected students' ability to learn and families' ability to thrive.
During her second and third years of teaching, two of her kindergarten students, just five and six years old, died in separate tragedies. One child died in a house fire. Another was strangled by his mother, along with his twin brother.
Their classmates struggled to understand why they were gone. Some continued placing homework in the children's folders and keeping their seats empty, expecting them to return. Their teacher explained the losses to the class, then quietly removed the papers after school and cried.
Those experiences reinforced a conviction: supporting children requires attention to the circumstances surrounding them, including the needs of their families. Encouragement from family members and mentors also demonstrated how powerful a reliable support system can be.
She continued teaching and founded ED 360 in 2009 while still working in education, determined to extend support beyond a single classroom.
Helping one classroom matters. Equipping and supporting several educators can extend that impact across many classrooms. The same principle guides our community work: when we share knowledge, connect resources, and work together, more families can benefit.
Our programs and partnerships reflect a commitment to practical, compassionate service for people of all backgrounds.
